Metta World Peace is coming home.

Former Los Angeles Lakers wing Metta World Peace agreed to a two-year deal with the New York Knicks, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

The deal is worth $3.2 million over two years and the second year of the contract is a player option.

Wojnarowski reports ?World Peace and his agents met with Knicks general manager Glen Grunwald and coach Mike Woodson on Monday in Las Vegas and agreed to the deal in the meeting.?

World Peace is owed $7.7 million by the Los Angeles Lakers. Earlier this week the Lakers waived World Peace via the amnesty clause, meaning they must pay him the money he is owed, but it will not count against the salary cap.

Last year, in his fourth season with the Lakers, World Peace averaged 12.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. He shot 40.3% from the field, 34.2% from beyond the arc and 73.4% from the free throw line.

World Peace was originally drafted ?by the Chicago Bulls with the 16th overall pick in 1999. He has also spent time with the Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings and Houston Rockets.
