Carlos Ernesto Montalvo, Albuquerque, New Mexico

43, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1968. An avid skier, he traveled to many of the best slopes and made friends of everyone he met. He worked near the mountains he loved, first as an extreme skier and later teaching skiing, rafting, and working at some of the best restaurants. Carlos was at the center of every conversation he was in and made each person feel truly special. He inspired others to live life to its fullest and will be missed by all who knew him. Carlos is survived by his parents, Braulio and Margarita Montalvo; his sister, Maria Montalvo and husband, Strom Peterson; his cousin, Ricardo Gonzalez; as well as a large extended family of relatives and dear friends. Cremation has taken place and a memorial rosary will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at French Mortuary at 1111 University Blvd., NE in Albuquerque. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012 at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church, 8901 Candelaria Rd.
